| In February of 2003, the European Union released the RoHS and
WEEE Directives
(Restriction of Hazardous Substances / Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment), often referred
to as the Lead-Free directives. In response to these directives, Cannon has
implemented plans to
remove Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, PBB and PBDE (plastic flame
retardants) from
our products.
